But thanks anyway Reply Helpful Thread reply - more options Link to this Post. Can't lose them all :- But, just now I re-imposed the restrictions to see what would happen.

I think the technique is similar to thumping the top of the TV when anything goes wrong We noticed it only because we could not get into the iPad at first because we needed a 2 factor password, even though as far as I know we never set the iPad for any 2 factor password, I guess Apple is supposed to send the password to us, but we could not find it anywhere, still at a loss on this 2 factor password thing.

Is there someplace to disable this 2 factor password thing? Another thing all passwords were not backed up. It seems that only an encrypted back up does this I think, Apple should be way more clear on backups. When we sent the iPad in for repair Apple never said anything about losing passwords and encrypted backups, they just said back up the iPad, which we did unencrypted and in so doing lost almost all passwords to Apps and settings in Mail, causing us to search for mail passwords on 3 different accounts, took almost half a day to search in records for simple Mail Account passwords that we have not needed for a couple of years now.

How do I get the app back onto my iPad Pro? I just figured out why I couldnt redownload and open my podcast app. Now you should be able to open up the app again. Hope that helps!

I am new to Apple and recently purchased an iPhone 8 Plus a week ago and accidentally deleted the Find My Friends app. I can see it in the App Store, but there is no download icon. Any chance someone has the link to reinstall the default clock app? Here is the direct link to the Apple News app download, if you deleted the Apple News app and want to reinstall the Apple News app onto your iPhone or iPad you can download it again from Apple this way.

I used the url in the explanation given but the link does not work. Please help? I removed podcast and wiuld like it back. When i go to Apps it shows it as open but it will not open. I Have the same problem. When I click on the cloud with the downward arrow to reload it, it starts and gets immediately after, and does n not load.

I have read aple how-to posts: tried resetting it, restarting it, holding this and that button simultaneously, performing open heart surgery and nothing works. All I want is the podcast app back, any further suggestions? Please fix it. Thank you for sending me osxdaily items. As another poster already said, hidden would be a far more accurate description rather than deleted.

And rather than reinstall, I would suggest reappear. Of course blame for that lies with Apple for not just making most of the first-party apps more self-contained and let people actually remove them.

No reason to make this all confusing as they insist on doing. I guess that depends on the app. I recently removed and restored the maps app on my iphone 6s and while restoring, I did see the little circle filling up just like with the 3rd party apps.

So I guess it did delete at least some of the files related to the app when I removed it. Apple TV. Not all user data is deleted.

Maybe so. There is no explanation for what any of the symbols are. Also, no indication of whether the humidity is rising or dropping indication of an arriving or departing weather front Also it provides no air quality index.

I got this app because I needed to know what weather it would be in a day or days. So I got it. And it was for free. I love the idea of colors for how bad the weather will be. OR between that. I love this app. And congrats to the producers who made it. BUT, there is two problems. So I checked this weather app again, it it moved to And this continued the rest of the day until But the WiFi that i have around my area rarely freezes.

So those are the two main problems I have. But, all in all, this is a really nice app. I also forgot to mention that this app is also ad free for FREE.

Again, congrats producers! Even though I have these problems, I still enjoy this app. So for instance, if you scroll down from today's summary details, you're presented with a map. It's a close-up map of your region and while the area remains the same, the detail does not.

You can see a temperature map, a precipitation one, and an air quality one as well. Pinch in and out to see as big or small an area as you like, and the map will then show a moving projection of how the temperature or rainfall is expected to change over the next hours.

Just a little confusingly, there are two different ways to get this map information. You can simply tap on the thumbnail that gets shown to you anyway, or you can press on a button at bottom left of the screen. There's also an issue of how you get to set up different locations. By default, the Weather app shows you your current location, but you can add any city in the world.

If you've ever done that before, the new version picks up your previous selections. To add a new location for the first time, you start by pressing an icon of three horizontal lines, positioned at bottom right. This is the same icon as for the iOS 14 version, but again, it's larger and clearer.

The new app also makes the search feature much more prominent. Instead of looking for the magnifying glass icon to start a search, the Weather app figures you wouldn't be in this section if you didn't want to add a new city. So the very first thing on the screen is a search bar. Then the rest of the screen will definitely show you a wide bar with the name of your chosen city or cities on it.

That bar, for each city, now shows more than it did. As well as an animated graphic showing the weather conditions, and now adds a brief summary, too. There's also the temperature — current, high, and low — plus the time. There's still no plus button, but when you search for a new city, you get a preview of its weather and then an Add button.

Once you've added more than one city, you get a list of these bars. To turn to any of them for full details, you tap on the one you want. Then you can come back to this list, or you can swipe right and left to move between them. You'll notice that we say it usually shows something, or it typically shows something. In practice, while all of the information is always there, the order will change. The new weather app surfaces the information you are most likely to need.

So for instance when it's raining, or about to rain, you'll get a banner toward the top telling you about about getting precipitation notifications. Those are the new Weather app's equivalent of Dark Sky's updates, so once you've set them up, you just automatically get notified of impending rain.

Apple has delayed the rollout of a new feature that would let users add their driver's licenses or IDs to the Wallet app on iPhones until early A strong resurgence in iPhone shipments in China during the month of October hints at a robust iPhone 13 cycle, according to investment bank JP Morgan. Customers across key Asia markets can no longer guarantee getting iPads or the iPhone 13 in time for the holidays, as shortages push delivery dates into January.
